Hi Hi,
It’s been about a month since I wrote to you, and as always I’ll tell you why I didn’t get to write to you so far. As you know, blogs are once every 2 weeks, so the week I was supposed to write, I was on a project in the office that took most of my time that I didn’t even realize Wednesday was close until it came. And last week, my church’s youth conference (Metathesis) started. So, that’s why you’ve not seen me here.
I hope you’ve been doing well so far and that everything is going smoothly for you.
Based on our last conversation about purpose in the previous blog, today’s blog will be a continuation. In the last blog, we talked about people still questioning whether they have a purpose or not, but then there are some saying: “I have discovered my purpose. I know what God will have me do in life, but I’m struggling. I seem to be encountering roadblocks on the journey; what do I do? Here are a few suggestions I have for you:
- Write the vision and make it plain Habakkuk 2:2 “And the LORD answered me and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Write down your vision/purpose somewhere you can see it often because you will need to remind yourself of it at every point in time, especially during your downtime.
- Ask God for guidance, wisdom, and strength to overcome the challenges. John 14:26 ESV “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.” You have the Holy Spirit indwelling in you; ask Him for help.
- Seek support: There are helpers of destiny assigned to you in the form of men; receive their help. Seek their help. Ask God to open your eyes to know them and receive their help.
- Embrace the journey. I said in the last blog that purpose is not a destination but a journey, and the journey is as important as the destination. Learn from your experiences and trust that they are shaping you for your purpose. The scripture never said it will be easy but then we know that God will not leave us through the trials and tribulations that might come with life. Isaiah 41:13 (NKJV) “For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.”
- Persevere: Don’t give up! Every obstacle is an opportunity to grow and learn. Every roadblock overcome is taking you a step closer to purpose. Romans 5:3–4 (NIV) “We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
It is my prayer that during every phase of the journey, God will send help your way. You will not be stranded on the journey of purpose, and you will fulfill your purpose.
Have a great week and see you soon.
