Welcome to November, our month of possibilities. All things are possible for us and new levels of endless possibilities are opened to us in Jesus’ name 🙏.

Now the story.
About 3weeks ago,On a Tuesday, I was trying to put the next day’s blog together and I kept asking the holyspirit what He wanted me to write about. I heard in my spirit “Rest”. So, I slept with the intention that I’d wake up early on Wednesday to write about rest.
I woke up on Wednesday and started to put the blog together. I got halfway and my internet started to develop issues. I couldn’t type anything on the blog. I tried to create the design for the blog, I couldn’t. I used another device, still no headway. I kept trying different methods for an hour after which I was already frustrated. So, I left the blog’s website, left Canva and then opened Instagram.
Guess what?
My internet was working perfectly well on Instagram. I tried Netflix to be sure, it worked perfectly well with Netflix. I turned my data off and on and tried again. Still, the blog wasn’t loading and Canva wasn’t loading either.
At this point, I heard in my spirit again “Rest”. It was then I realized the holyspirit was speaking to me to rest and not write about rest. Interestingly after I decided to obey, I didn’t feel the usual guilt that comes on me when I don’t write a blog.
I tried again for two consecutive weeks, this time around, I didn’t even hear anything and so I couldn’t write. But here we are today, my rest is over, my internet is working perfectly well 😂 and there’s a blog post.
That explains why I’ve been away. It also taught me that all God wanted from me in that period was swift obedience. If I had understood immediately and obeyed God and taken the rest, I wouldn’t have had an hour of frustrating myself.
God speaks to us and gives us instructions and directions. And when He does, He expects obedience from us. But not just any kind of obedience; swift and complete obedience.
1 Samuel 15:22 ESV “And Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice and to listen than the fat of rams.”
Prayer: I pray that our ears and hearts will be opened to receive instructions and directions from God. And when we hear Him, we will be swift to obey and obey completely in Jesus’ name 🙏
