Hello people, How are you doing, and how’s life going?

I miss having to write to you every week 😥 but I’m glad I still get to write and you still get to read from me 😊. I really appreciate your consistency 🥰

Matt 5:16 NIV “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Every believer has a light that is expected to shine wherever they find themselves.

And this light is supposed to be seen through your good deeds.

What are your good deeds?

Through your actions

I heard the story of a woman who became the head of a company where bribery and corruption were the order of the day. However, this woman made up her mind to be a light and didn’t do things as usual while in power. She made so many changes in that section that they promoted her to a higher level so she could have such an influence in other sectors of the office.

What kind of influence do you have on people?

What kind of perception do people have of you?

Is it that of a person of light or otherwise?

Are you known for excellence or mediocrity?

Peace or chaos?

A beacon of hope or despair?

Love or hatred?

Courage or fear?

The goal of shining your light is to point people to the goodness and glory of God.

Shining your light means reflecting the nature of Christ everywhere you find yourself.

All light needs a constant source for it to keep working, and so do you. You need to be consistently connected to your source to enable your light to keep shining. This source is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is your help and guide in shining your light.

It’s not enough to wish to shine your light; it’s important to stay connected to the source. And may God continually help us shine as lights in Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I acknowledge today that I am a light and I am expected to shine. However, I need the help of the Holy Spirit to help me and grant me the grace and help to be a light in the midst of darkness and bring glory to you, Lord, in every waking moment of my day. Help me, Holy Spirit, that I may be constantly connected to my source and shine as a light in Jesus name.
