I trust you had a good January, it ended well and your February is up to a good start?
May February bring you more blessings than you imagine or desire. May your joy be full and may your testimony abound in Jesus’ name.
I remember not having a job during the lockdown and really hoping the lockdown was going to be over soon enough so I could get a job. We all know lockdown came with a lot of innovation and new ways of doing things, part of which was online courses here and there. During that time, I invested in 3courses while waiting for the lockdown. Not long after the lockdown was over, I got a job and guess what caught the recruiters attention the most, the courses I took.
Now why did I share that story? While waiting for God to show up for you, what do you spend your waiting time doing? Do you sit and whine and cry for a change? Do you prepare yourself for the change that you’re waiting for? Do you grow into the fullness of stature that allows you receive the change that you wait for? Do you sit still and pray and stay “hopeful” that the change will come? What do you do?
It’s worthy of note that God isn’t just delaying your change because He wants to. He understands that, maybe you don’t have the ability to handle that change, maybe you’re not grown enough to hold on to the change, maybe you won’t take good care or advantage of the change and so He’s holding onto it waiting for you to grow. He’s holding onto it waiting for you to be prepared for it. And there you are, sitting still, praying without doing anything.
When God makes you wait, he expects you to be busy in your waiting period. He expects you to be preparing for that change. He expects you to take charge and play your part in the agenda of attaining the change you desire. Will you play your part?
Matthew 24:44 “Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect” Yes, prepare yourself because you do not know when God will choose to show up for you. Prepare yourself so that the blessing you waited for all the while doesn’t slip out of your hand because you didn’t know how to take care of it.
This is to remind you, while waiting, prepare and grow.
Ezekiel 38:7 “Be prepared, and prepare yourself..”
