OMOLOGÍA

I’ve always known about confessions for a very long time but I didn’t practice it consistently. Funny enough, I go to a church where we’ve daily confessions, but for me I don’t go beyond the one I say in church on Sunday😂😂. Don’t even try to laugh at me 🙄🙄, because you’re probably just as guilty as I am.

I began to see the light in confession and gain better understanding of it from Coach Debola-Deji Kurunmi. Those of us that participated in ‘’Activation Intensive’’ understand what I’m saying😊. She made it easy yet so practical.

Confession in simple language, are words spoken with expectations consistently, to one’s self to change or convict yourself about a thing. You may have a confession to change your mind to begin to see things in a particular way. You can also have a confession that can change your life to your desired result over time. In Greek, “OMOLOGÍA” which translates as confession means ‘’saying the same thing’’. This explains that confession has to be done consistently. The consistency of confession is what exactly produces result, not just in saying it🗣️.

Confession can either be in form of positive affirmations or Biblical confessions. Positive affirmations do not necessarily have to be related to scripture, just words that speaks energy and encouragement to your mind to change in a direction or take an action. While Biblical confessions are strings of scriptures put together to align and edify your spiritman.

As believers, it’s important that we cultivate the habit of confessing what the word of God says about us and desist from confessing things against it. Beyond your present situation and the picture that the devil shows to you, what do you say to yourself about your situation? 🤷

Instead of saying that you can’t do a thing, say to yourself ‘’I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me’’-Philippians 4:13. Instead of saying “I don’t have’’, say ‘’My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus’’-Philippians 4:19. And instead of saying ‘’I’m afraid’’, say ‘’God hath not given me the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind’’2 Tim 1:7. Say ‘’I’ve a sound mind’’💪💪

There’s nothing you’re going through, or result you desire that isn’t in the scripture, it’s your duty to search it out and begin to confess it until you begin to see the result that you desire. And even when you begin to see results, don’t stop, keep at it. “Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who has promised is faithful”-Heb 10:23 KJV

Now, I need to clear something before someone comes for me in two weeks, after s/he is yet to see results 😂😂. Confession is not automatic. It takes process, consistency, patience, diligence and time for it to produce result. The moment you begin to confess those scriptures; the devil will begin to attack your mind😔😔. He’ll try to make you see the impossibility in your confession to materialise, he’ll try to bring you down😥. This is why it is important to not just make the confession with your mouth but also use your mind to envision the reality of that confession. The picture of your result is what will continually keep you consistent in making that confession. Confession is also not our denial of the present or the obvious, it is us declaring God’s word in our situation😇. So, even when you can’t see results yet, keep declaring, soon, you’ll see result.

Words carry power 💪💪 and so it’s very important to watch what we say. Our words have a way of shaping our minds and as the scriptures says ‘’As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he’’ Proverbs 24:3(KJV). Our lives will always move in the direction of our thoughts, and our thoughts, in the direction of your confession. Our confessions can change our circumstances, lives and shape our destinies. Confession gives us the power to overcome; ‘’And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony…’’ Rev 12:11 KJV. Our testimony doesn’t start from when God did something in our lives, it began from our confession and believe in the power of God.

I really love the ending part of my church’s confession, it says:

‘’Every day and in every way I’m getting better; spiritually, physically, financially, mentally, morally and in all my endeavours. I am called for a purpose, I will fulfil this purpose and I will arrive at God’s ordained destiny for my life. Nothing will cut me short. I will make a formidable impact in my world for the kingdom. Therefore, I declare that as I go about my assignment this week, favour will attend my ways. I attract favour anywhere I go. It is my week of Abundance and goodness. My week of increase and overflow. My week of opportunities and achievements. My week of restoration and release. My week of All Grace. Evil shall bow before me, the wicked shall bow at my gate. Everywhere I go this week, I carry the goodness of God because there is power in the word of God’’.

There are scriptures in the confession though but don’t mind my lazy self🙈🙈. There’s so much that just this part of the confession can do to your life if said consistently. Decide today to craft your own confessions based on what you desire in your life. I’ve started taking my confessions seriously and I’ve seen results in less than two months. For me, I’ve both positive affirmations and Biblical confessions.

Do you have confessions? Are you consistent with them? Have you started seeing results? Tell me about them in the comment section.
