Hi Hi,
Happy New Month 🥳🥳🥳
I hope you’re doing well and in good health.
It’s another story day💃💃
A bit of context, in case you don’t know me personally.
I’m a young lady, and I’m low-cut.
The story…
I recently had two hair fails. One was a dye fail, and the other was a barber fail.
I randomly choose to change my look by dying my hair every now and then. However, I have to wait a while for a previous dye to wash off before doing another. So, in January, in a bid to do a “new year, new look” I dyed my hair when the previous one had not gone off. (For context, I had just dyed my hair in December). So, both the previous color and the new color got mixed 🤦.
At first, it felt like a disaster, and I had thoughts of going to the saloon and cutting the whole hair off, but the fear of going completely bald didn’t let me. I went out everywhere with mixed feelings about how people were going to react to it, but I was shocked by what happened. I got really nice compliments. The compliments were so good that my mood was on a high throughout the week.
The barber fail: I recently tried a new barber who gave me a close-to-bald look (yeah, my fear from the dye fail). The experience was so painful for me that I was in a bad mood all day. I did a thing by dying the remaining hair on my head, and that made me feel a bit better. I got to the office that week, and my colleagues once again did their thing by making me feel better about the experience. And guess who spent the next week looking at her close-to-bald self in the mirror, and admiring the beauty that she is? You guessed right, ME.
So why have I told these stories?
Sometimes, an experience begins as a bad one.
We detest it
We want to get out of it so badly.
We pray, cast, and bind just to get it over with
But what we don’t realize is the value of the experience.
The dye fail taught me that a bad experience can be good, depending on how you look at it.
The barber’s fail made me reflect on my beauty (something I don’t do so often). In other words, it had its purpose.
In simple English, everything happens for a purpose, and it’s all interwoven to get you somewhere or build you.
The purpose may not be visible at first.
It may not also make sense to you at first, but over time, when you look back at those experiences, you see the beauty in them.
Proverbs 16:4a MSG: “God made everything with a place and purpose.”
I hope you start to look at things from a different point of view and try to find the good in every experience you encounter 😊😊
See you soon 🤗🤗
