Hello everyone

Happy New Month 🥳🥳

How was the first month of the year for you?

How did it go?

I hope you had a great start to the year.

At the beginning of the year, quite a number of us made resolutions. So I’m here today to ask you: did you make efforts to stick to at least one of the things that you promised yourself to do or start doing?

Well, I did. What about you?

One of them is that I told you all that I was going to be consistent with Zoewriter whether I had something to write or not. And yes, I made intentional efforts and I was able to write to you twice last month as expected.

I also decided to start journaling, and yes, I did stick to it. I chose what my consistency would be, and even on days when I get home late and I’m too tired to, as long as I needed to write in my journal, I did that.

So, what are we talking about today?

Intentionality and consistency

Intentionality is the fact or quality of doing something on purpose and with intent. It can also be a commitment to deliberate action

What, then, is consistency? Consistency is the quality of always behaving or doing things in a similar way or even at a particular time.

It’s not enough to set goals and dreams, how intentional are you at getting those goals achieved? How consistently are you doing the things you need to do to get you to those goals and ambitions?

To achieve the goals, dreams, and ambitions you set at the beginning of the year, you need to be intentional about the steps and actions you take at different times of the year. You also need to do some of these things consistently.

You said you would pass your exams and improve your career, but are you intentional and consistent with reading your books, taking courses, and putting to work the things that you are learning?

“I must lose weight this year” says you my dear friend, but have you been focused on the food you eat, exercise, and your overall well-being? Do you have a routine to help you lose weight? Are you consistent with it?

So also it is with our walk with God as a believer. “I want to get closer to God this year” says you again, but you know it’s not automatic and just by you saying it with your mouth right?
What actions have you implemented in your routine to make that happen?

Do you have your study time?

A prayer life?

Do you listen to sermons and play edifying music that helps you get closer to God?

Are you mindful of your confessions, and do you meditate on the word of God?

Do you stick to them consistently?

Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”

To maintain a strong relationship with God, we must be intentional about our walk with Him and also stay consistent. This intentionality and consistency help you build faith. It helps you build resilience and allows you to gradually become a person who emulates Christ and reveals Christ to the world.

Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Read that as “Do not be weary in your walk with God, in your goals and dreams, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up”

Stay consistent and intentional in at least one thing this month and watch yourself move steps further into your goals.

P.S. A special shout-out to my one and only sibling. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOO 🎉🎉. I miss you already. I wish you the best this year. I pray for you that you won’t miss all that God has in plan for you in Jesus’ name. Have a great year my love 🥳🥳

And yeah, “Happy Valentine’s Day” to those who celebrate. Remember not to do anything that God wouldn’t approve of.

See you soon.
