I know you want to say fine like you normally would, but this time, think about it — are you really fine?

Recently, I’ve been reminded of one statement almost every day.
In the tiniest details of my day
In the happenings in my life
In my thoughts
At work
In the songs, I listen to
Through my friends
And through my growing journey
And the statement is,
GOD IS INTENTIONAL ABOUT ME
So back story…
There used to be a time in my life when I felt like I was going in circles and that my life wasn’t moving forward. It felt like every single thing just wasn’t working for me.
I felt like I was paying my dues to God in my prayers, devotions, and, you know, all the other boxes that we believers like to check, but then God wasn’t playing His part.
At some point, I was devastated. I ran farther from God, and I just wanted to be. In all of these seasons, God didn’t ever stop loving me and showing it in different ways.
Now, months or years later, I’m seeing a lot of things in my life that have brought me to consciousness about God’s intentionality toward me.
One of them is in my relationship with people. In 2020, I prayed a lot for the gift of friendships because I was going through a depressing state and I felt like I had no friends to share my experiences with. 3 years later, I’m grateful for the people that God has put in my circle. The interesting part about it is that most of these people were already in my life long before 2020, but I just couldn’t receive the gift of their friendship, maybe because of my growth level. However, God was helping us strengthen and build our friendship in those 3 years.
Another part is work. I once had a job I was struggling so much at, yet somewhere within me, I thought that was really what I wanted to do career-wise. The journey to being where I currently am in my career is one of God’s intentionalities toward me, because I couldn’t have imagined I’d end up here. Every step I have taken and every mistake I thought I had made so far have led me to where I am now.
Another part is my healing journey. I thought I was done healing from a particular incident in my life, however, a recent conversation with a friend brought me to the realization that there was still work to do in that area. And guess who has been spurring me on the journey? The Holy Spirit.
Even in my walk with God, God has been so intentional about me having Him in my corner as my biggest adviser and friend. And you know, the list goes on and on.
This whole story isn’t about me telling you that my life is so great because I’m still on that journey to where I hope to be. But it is a reminder to you that, even though you think God has forgotten you and isn’t doing anything about your current situation, He is still leading you and working in your life, even though you may not be able to see it. He may seem quiet, but He’s saying a lot in His silence that you may be unable to hear in this season of your life.
One thing this realization has helped me do is to also be intentional about every step of my life because I know that God is intentional about me😍
Every single experience you’re going through now is part of God’s intentionality toward you.
It’s all leading to where He’s taking you, as long as you acknowledge Him and allow Him to lead you.
It’s all leading to the life He has planned out for you.
Know that God will never drive your life to destruction.
God will not let your life go to waste.
Trust Him
Trust His intentionality about you
Trust where He’s taking you to
Trust the steps He’s leading you to take
Trust everything about Him
He’s intentional about YOU.
