Hi Guys,

How have we been, and how are we doing generally?

I was making a presentation in a meeting sometime this week without my camera being turned on, and someone on the call talked about wanting to see my face and how important it is for her to connect the words with the face, and this made me think about Zoewriter.

It’s been 4 years of writing to you, and I’ve not introduced myself here. Zoewriter started with just my friends, but I want to believe that many people have joined the community over the years who don’t know me personally, so this blog will be an attempt to introduce myself to the community so you can get to know me. Let’s make it a 10 things about me kinda thing:

My name is Oluwatosin Daniel, and I am Nigerian.

  1. I clocked 27 the same day Zoewriter clocked 4 years because I started Zoewriter on my birthday in 2020.
  2. I currently work for an advertising agency as a Copywriter. Although, as a child, I thought I’d be reading the news on a TV station by now 😂😂
  3. A classmate of mine gave me a nickname in secondary school: Tos-D, and it’s still the one I use to date, only that I’ve tushed it up (shoutout to Adeiye ✌️✌️).
  4. I don’t have a favorite color but my favorite foods are spaghetti and Amala (not together, please)
  5. I consider myself an extrovert; however, the older I get, the more it seems like I might not exactly be one. I figured I’m only an extrovert around people I’m comfortable with; other times, I’m an introvert. I guess that should make me an ambivert 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️.
  6. I think of myself as an open book, one that people can most likely predict.
  7. Every 3 working days, I question my life: past, present, and future. I guess it has to do with the age I’m in or not.
  8. You may find me looking blank or angry, but that’s just my resting face. I’m not angry, I promise 😂. But also, if you do anything to me or around me, I can’t hide my facial expressions. They just find a way to speak on their own accord. I’ve been trying since university to work on it, but I still can’t get a hang of it.
  9. People think I’m friendly, but I don’t agree very much. Most of the people I’ve made friends with, I don’t remember being the one who made the first move. It either just happened or they reached out first.
  10. I have a lifestyle in my head that I should be living, but I unfortunately cannot afford it. You know, travel around the world, visit places, have fun and vibe, buy whatever it is I want or need, and you know, the list goes on and on. I guess we all do 😂😂

Fun fact: I googled typical “10 things about me” blogs to be able to get to No. 10. It was harder than I thought.

I’m excited to finally introduce myself to this amazing community, and I can’t wait for us to share more stories, experiences, and laughs together! Let’s keep the conversation going in the comments below by telling me at least one thing about you and how Zoewriter has been a blessing to you! (I’m still not sure how Medium works or if you’ll be able to comment, but I really hope you can.)

See you soon.

Thank you for getting to know me and Happy 4th anniversary to Zoewriter 🎉🎉
