Don’t stop asking

Hey there!

How are you doing and how has the journey been so far?

How’s life in general ( your faith, school, work, family, finance, health)? I really hope you are doing fine.

Remember the parable of the persistent widow in the Bible in Luke 18:1–8. How the wicked Judge wasn’t willing to attend to her plea but because of her persistency with her request, the Judge had no other option but to grant her request.

Luke 18:1–8 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man. And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

That thing you’re holding onto and waiting for God to respond to you about, how persistent have you been with your request. How many times have you taken it up with God? How many times have you spoken to your boss about the promotion that you really want? How many times have you applied to that company? How many times have you repeated that action that’s supposed to yield you your desired result? How many times?

How persistent are you in asking?

How persistent are you in doing?

How persistent is your faith?

Will you still hold on if it takes longer?

Will your faith still stand strong?

No matter how long it tarries.

No matter how hard it becomes.

No matter how tired you get.

Don’t stop asking.

Your answer is just right after your persistent phase 😊.

Stay Persistent 💪

N.B: What a different story men would have to tell if only they would adopt a DEFINITE PURPOSE, and stand by that purpose until it had time to become an all-consuming obsession!
