Romans 12:4–8: “Just as our bodies have many parts, and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. 7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.”

Are you fulfilling your part in the body of Christ?

Are you using your gifts well?

Is your part a part of the whole or is it missing?

As modern-day believers, there’s usually the need to respond every now and then when asked that we are Christians and a part of the body of Christ, but are we really functioning as one?

Do you go to church to just mark attendance and warm the seats like every other person?

Do you go to church to just avoid being asked, “Why didn’t you go to church today?"

As the young lady or young man with that unique gift, are you using that gift in the body of Christ?

It doesn’t have to be prophecy, teaching, evangelizing and the likes.

Look inward and search for the skills you have.

That writing, photography, social media management, video editing, drawing and illustration skills can be used in the media team

That organization and project management skills can be used in the ushering ministry

That hospitality and caring gifts can be used in Visitation and follow-up ministry

That vast knowledge of the scripture can be used in the Bible Study unit.

It’s not enough for you to pray for 12 hours in your closet, are you interceding for the body of Christ and the world at large?

That Tech skills is needed n the body of Christ. There’s nothing wrong with you building a good interface for the church’s website and App. After all, the church deserves one too.

All I’m just saying is that whatever skills you think you have and can only use in the workplace can also be used in the church and the body of Christ as a whole.

Search yourself: Is your part, a part of the whole?

Are you truly a part of the body of Christ?

Do you really belong to the other parts of the whole, or are you on your own as a part?

P.S. Don’t forget to ask God what He’ll have you do this year. Remember, it’s key to enjoying all that God has planned for you
